We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Traffic Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Traffic Coordinator you will play a crucial role in managing traffic flow and ensuring safety in road construction and maintenance projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Plan coordinate implement and monitor temporary traffic management (TTM) and road diversion schemes for road construction and maintenance projects in Dubai ensuring compliance with RTA standards public safety and smooth traffic flow.
- Conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential traffic issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed traffic management plans including signage placement lane closures and detour routes in accordance with local regulations and best practices.
- Liaise with project managers contractors and relevant authorities to ensure seamless coordination of traffic management activities.
- Monitor and analyse traffic patterns to optimise flow and minimise disruptions during construction phases.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices including signs barriers and signals.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with approved traffic management plans and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to traffic-related incidents or emergencies coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including daily logs incident reports and project updates.
- Provide training and guidance to traffic control personnel to ensure proper implementation of traffic management plans.
- Stay updated on local traffic regulations construction techniques and industry best practices to continually improve traffic management strategies.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Civil Engineering Transportation Planning or equivalent)
- Minimum of 4-5 years of demonstrable experience in traffic coordination and road diversion
- Comprehensive knowledge of RTA standards and local traffic regulations in Dubai
- Current and valid certification in Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) or an equivalent qualification
- Exceptional time management and organisational capabilities
- Advanced interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proficiency in utilising communication platforms and collaborative tools
- Demonstrated capacity to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Meticulous attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to accuracy and quality
- Proven adaptability and dedication to continuous learning of new technologies and processes
- Robust analytical and problem-solving competencies
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous
