Job Summary

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead all planning scheduling and progress control functions for a major ADNOC construction project. The role ensures that project works are executed in line with the approved baseline program ADNOC standards and contractual obligations. The candidate must have strong experience in Oil & Gas EPC/construction projects and be fully conversant with ADNOC project controls procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain the Project Master Schedule (Level 14) using Primavera P6 in accordance with ADNOC planning requirements.
  • Prepare baseline schedules including critical path analysis resource loading and cost loading.
  • Update schedules periodically and prepare variance analysis highlighting deviations and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Identify critical and near-critical activities float consumption and schedule risks to support proactive decision-making.
  • Coordinate with construction engineering procurement and subcontractor teams to obtain progress data and ensure alignment with planned activities.
  • Track progress using ADNOC-required KPIs earned value productivity analysis and progress measurement systems.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports as per ADNOC reporting formats.
  • Monitor procurement fabrication construction and commissioning milestones for compliance with contractual schedules.
  • Work closely with Project Managers Construction Managers and Site Teams to update project forecasts and recovery plans.
  • Liaise with ADNOC planners and project representatives for schedule reviews approvals and audits.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC HSE Engineering and Procurement to ensure integrated schedule alignment.
  • Participate in preparation of delay analysis EOT claims disruption analysis and recovery/re-baseline schedules.
  • Support risk management activities: risk register updates schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical or related).
  • 10-15 years of experience with minimum 7-10 years in Oil & Gas construction projects.
  • Proven track record on ADNOC Onshore/Offshore projects (ADNOC approval preferred).
  • Expert in Primavera P6 MS Project and associated planning tools.
  • Strong understanding of ADNOC Specification Requirements project control procedures WBS development and progress measurement systems.
  • Hands-on experience with EPC construction scheduling: civil mechanical structural pipeline E&I and shutdown works.
  • Previous or valid ADNOC Approval as Senior Planning Engineer. (PREFERRED)
  • CICPA security pass or eligibility to obtain one.(PREFERRED)
  • Knowledge of FIDIC or EPC lump-sum contract planning methods. (PREFERRED)
  • Experience preparing EOT claims based on recognised delay analysis methodologies (e.g. TIA impacted as-planned) (PREFERRED)
