Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain inventory of firefighting equipment and materials ensuring accurate tracking and efficient storage.
- Coordinate with project managers and field teams to procure necessary materials optimizing delivery schedules and minimizing delays.
- Prepare and process purchase orders requisitions and other procurement documents adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
- Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of high-quality firefighting components.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Monitor material usage and consumption identifying trends and recommending strategies to reduce waste and optimize resource allocation.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and conformance to specifications rejecting substandard items and coordinating returns.
- Maintain detailed records of material transactions including receipts issues and returns for accurate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures in the handling storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize shipping and receiving processes minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelors degree or Diploma holder.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 3 years of experience in material coordination preferably within the firefighting industry.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of firefighting equipment components and industry-specific standards.
