Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and versatile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure maximum equipment uptime and safe efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance on production machinery utilities and facilities equipment.

Diagnose faults repair and replace defective parts promptly to minimize downtime.

Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) according to schedules and record all work completed.

Support equipment installations upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
-
Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental standards at all times.
-
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete shift reports as required.
-
Work collaboratively with production and operations teams to resolve issues effectively.
-
Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
-
Keep spare parts inventory updated and liaise with suppliers when necessary.

Participate in training and development to maintain up-to-date skills and certifications.
Requirements:

Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. NVQ HNC HND or equivalent).

Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (pumps conveyors hydraulics pneumatics) and electrical systems (motors control panels PLCs).
-
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals schematics and drawings.
-
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
-
Flexible approach to working hours including shift work and call-outs if required.

Strong commitment to health and safety.
-
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
-
Experience working with PLCs and automated production lines.
-
17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (if electrical bias).
-
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
