Purpose of the Role
Be responsible for supporting the respective Team Leader with execution of trade strategies in the region making decisions on short-term pricing management including prioritization of customers commodities & markets for optimal profitability. Set day to day pricing based on data & tools available provide forecasting for decision making and manage performance for scope.
Job Content & Execution:
Collect and optimize input data for pricing models monitor pricing trends and conduct pricing analyses and modelling to inform pricing
Pricing and Reasoning updates in and other relevant tools/meetings/calls
Monitor specific trade(s) targets and ensure that such targets are met particularly volume revenue & product qualitive measure
Ensure market relevant rates are frequently revised in appropriated systems (SPOT/AFLS Globe)
Close collaboration with frontline market managers to evaluate Market intel to set pricing (MAP & Sales Feedback)
Continuously share insights regarding ongoing optimization of revenue management models processes and tools
Share market and customer insights with Market teams to be used for product and network development
Align on Utilization Management: Feed information to UTM/Allocation for vessel/voyage Steering and active Cargo Mixing. Support Online Dynamic price management across multiple channels

Valuable insights regarding ongoing optimization of revenue management models processes
and tools

ST volume and account strategy
Spot Booking Targets
Driving trade in line with market share aspirations.
Market share review intel analysis.
Contract Fulfillment % at trade level and Ocean short-term pricing management
