About the Role :
Team Leader Structural Engineer
GHD is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader Structural Engineer to join our growing team in the UAE. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented group of structural engineers drive the delivery of innovative and sustainable solutions and play a key role in some of the regions most significant multidisciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and develop a team of structural engineers and designers fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee the structural design and delivery of large-scale projects across commercial residential institutional and mixed-use developments.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant international codes and local authority requirements.
- Manage project resources schedules and budgets to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Coordinate with clients architects and other engineering disciplines to achieve integrated project outcomes.
- Prepare technical reports design documentation and authority submissions.
- Support business development proposals and work-winning activities in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Promote knowledge sharing innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred).
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering design and project delivery with at least 3 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Proven track record in consultancy environments and multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Strong technical knowledge of structural systems materials and current engineering technologies.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. ETABS SAFE SAP2000 Revit).
- Experience in Middle East projects is essential.
