Job Summary

Overview

GMG is seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our Facilities Management team. This role is crucial for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of our retail stores offices and warehouses. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various painting techniques surface preparation and finishing work to ensure a high standard of appearance across all GMG properties.

Key Responsibilities

Painting and Surface Preparation:

Prepare various surfaces (including plaster wood metal and drywall) by cleaning sanding patching holes and applying necessary primers or sealants.
Select mix and match paint colors and finishes (e.g. matte gloss satin) accurately according to specifications or existing site requirements.
Apply paint varnish and stain using various methods including brushes rollers and spray equipment.
Execute both interior and exterior painting projects efficiently and with a high-quality finish.
Complete minor plastering patching and drywall repair work prior to painting.

Maintenance and Safety:

Erect scaffolding or set up ladders and safety barriers as required strictly adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Maintain all painting tools and equipment ensuring they are clean properly stored and in good working condition.
Maintain a clean and organized work area ensuring surfaces and adjacent areas are protected from paint splatter or damage.
Estimate time and material requirements for assigned painting tasks.

Required Qualifications & Conditions

Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Painter in a commercial or residential setting. Experience in retail maintenance is a plus.
Skills: Proven proficiency in surface preparation various application techniques and color matching. Must be physically able to work at heights and lift heavy equipment.
Work Schedule: 6 days per week with one day off.

Location: Dubai UAE (with travel required between GMG facilities).
