1. Scaffolding Erection & Dismantling
- Assemble install and dismantle scaffolding structures safely and efficiently.
- Ensure scaffolding is erected according to specifications load requirements and safety standards.
- Modify and adjust scaffolding as needed based on worksite requirements.
2. Safety & Compliance
- Follow HSE (Health Safety and Environment) guidelines and industry regulations.
- Inspect scaffolding components for defects before use.
- Ensure scaffolds are properly secured stable and have appropriate safety features (e.g. guardrails toe boards).
- Adhere to the Permit to Work (PTW) system and risk assessment procedures.
3. Worksite Coordination
- Collaborate with site supervisors engineers and other trades to meet project requirements.
- Ensure proper material handling including loading and unloading scaffolding equipment.
- Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions at the worksite.
4. Inspection & Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure scaffolding remains safe for use.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on scaffolding as required.
- Tag scaffolds according to safety standards (Green Safe to Use Yellow Restricted Red Unsafe).
5. Compliance with Industry Standards
- Work in accordance with OSHA BS EN 12811 ANSI or relevant scaffolding codes.
- Follow site-specific safety policies including confined space and work-at-height procedures.
Qualifications :
Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least 3 years of scaffolding experience in oil & gas petrochemical or construction industries.
Additional Information :
- Valid Scaffolding Training Certificate (CITB CISRS TUV or equivalent).
- Work at Heights & Fall Protection Certification (preferred).
- Valid WMS (Work Management System) certificate (if required by the employer).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of scaffold design weight limits and structural integrity.
- Ability to read and interpret scaffold drawings.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
