- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipe standards with attention to detail taste and presentation.
- Have a thorough understanding of drink names ingredients preparation methods appropriate glassware and garnishes.
- Be well-versed in wines by the glass and at least five wines in each category on the wine list covering varying price ranges and styles.
- Know the specialty beverages offered including single malt scotches cognacs cocktails and craft beers to provide guests with recommendations.
- Be knowledgeable about the entire bar menu as well as the dining room menu ensuring guests receive accurate recommendations and answers to their questions.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels ensuring the bar is always fully stocked with all necessary products and ingredients.
- Complete daily inventory checks and communicate any changes in stock levels to servers managers or barbacks.
- Ensure all guests are of legal drinking age (21 or older) and follow responsible alcohol service protocols.
- Accurately report all income received during each shift ensuring proper cash handling and accountability.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly always considering the customers safety and well-being.
- Maintain a seamless flow of service between the bar servers and kitchen staff ensuring prompt delivery of orders and requests.
- Complete all side work as outlined in the bartender manual including cleaning and restocking tasks.
- Report to work on time ready to work and ready to contribute to the teams success during scheduled shifts.
- Maintain a friendly professional and positive attitude toward co-workers and guests at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including the bar and surrounding service areas adhering to sanitation guidelines and company standards.
- Greet guests promptly and engage with them in a professional and friendly manner ensuring a memorable experience.
- Work effectively as part of a team helping colleagues when necessary and communicating effectively with other team members and management.
- Assist with or execute other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management to ensure smooth bar operations.
Qualifications :
- Previous bartending experience required
- In-depth knowledge of bar operations including drink recipes bar menu items and proper service etiquette
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift carry and move heavy objects (e.g. kegs cases of alcohol)
- Must be of legal drinking age
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and provide excellent customer service at all times
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights weekends and holidays
