Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis III - Pastry to join our culinary team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our pastry department you will assist in creating exquisite desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for culinary excellence.
- Prepare a wide variety of pastries desserts and baked goods according to recipes and standards
- Assist the Pastry Chef in developing new dessert concepts and menu items
- Ensure proper food handling sanitation and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of desserts
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Participate in team briefings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Assist in plating and presenting desserts for service
- Support the pastry team during high-volume periods and special events
Qualifications :
- Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on pastry arts
- 2-3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen
- Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and baking skills
- Proficiency in creating a variety of desserts and pastries
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing innovative desserts
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Team player with good communication abilities
- Food safety certification
- Knowledge of different pastry styles and techniques
- Understanding of ingredient interactions and baking chemistry
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
