We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis I - Bakery to join our culinary team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As an entry-level baker you will assist in the preparation of a wide range of baked goods while learning from experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist in the preparation and production of various baked goods including bread pastries and desserts
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately following recipes and instructions
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices at all times
- Support senior bakers in daily operations and special projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of bakery orders
- Participate in ongoing training to improve baking skills and knowledge
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary school training or certificate preferred
- Food handlers certification required
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and principles
- Familiarity with bakery equipment and tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic math skills for measuring and scaling ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts weekends and holidays as needed
- Previous kitchen or bakery experience is a plus
