Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QC Engineer Mechanical to lead and oversee quality control activities for a large-scale Oil & Gas project. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise strong leadership abilities and a commitment to ensuring all mechanical work meets the highest quality standards in compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and coordinate all mechanical quality control activities across the project site.
- Review and approve quality documents including ITPs method statements and inspection reports.
- Supervise and guide QC inspectors to ensure adherence to project specifications and international standards.
- Conduct inspections and tests related to welding piping and other mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and client-specific quality management systems.
- Liaise with the client contractors and third-party inspectors for quality-related matters.
- Identify non-conformities manage corrective/preventive actions and track quality performance.
- Prepare and submit daily weekly and monthly quality reports to project management.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Metallurgical or a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality Control for major Oil & Gas projects.
- Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
- ASNT Level II in RT (Radiographic Testing) UT (Ultrasonic Testing) MT (Magnetic Particle Testing) and PT (Liquid Penetrant Testing).
- CSWIP 3.2 AWS-CWI or an equivalent qualification approved by the Client.
- Strong supervisory and coordination skills with demonstrated experience managing QC teams.
- Excellent reporting documentation and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- In-depth knowledge of international standards and codes (ASME API ISO etc.) (Preferred)
- Ability to resolve technical issues effectively under time constraints(Preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement(Preferred).
- Proficiency in quality management software/tools is a plus(Preferred).
