Were looking for a Public Policy Programs Lead to join Snap Inc. as a member of the EMEA Public Policy team. Reporting to the Head of Public Policy for the Middle East and Africa and working from our office in Dubai you will support the development and execution of a public policy and government relations strategy across the region. This includes monitoring and assessing legislative and regulatory developments in tech policy and formulating internal and external messaging that allows Snap to successfully navigate the varying environments it operates in. The role will also advance the implementation of the regional public policy plan by bringing and leading proactive partnerships and initiatives that align with wider business objectives.
What youll do:
Work closely with the Head of Public Policy for the Middle East and Africa to coordinate and deliver comprehensive market strategies across the region.
Work with the EMEA Public Policy team and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the business including Communications Legal Content and Marketing to ensure that our policy positions and initiatives are aligned with regional and global priorities.
Monitor and analyze relevant legislative and regulatory updates and their impact on Snap.
Provide front line support on incoming queries coordinating responses and escalating internally as required.
Prepare briefing positioning and training materials that support the regional policy engagement plan.
Develop and execute campaigns and partnerships that deepen Snap Inc.s connection with key government and non-government stakeholders in the region.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
A proven ability to work with government officials NGOs coalitions and other stakeholder groups.
Knowledgeable on key tech policy issues and the legislative/regulatory ecosystem in MENA.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound sense of judgment.
Teammate with a positive attitude motivation and a sense of humor.
A passion for Snapchat digital content and creativity.
Ability to rapidly understand and master complex policy issues.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
Ability to lead on complex projects and work with a range of external and internal groups and individuals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree or advanced studies in law economics political science international relations or public affairs.
Relevant experience in MENA public policy public affairs consulting or other areas that require extensive work with regulators and public institutions.
Full English and Arabic language proficiency.
Located in/willingness to relocate to Dubai UAE.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in tech policy or content platforms is strongly preferred.
