Job Summary
Apt Resources is seeking a talented and motivated Commis 1 Butcher to join the culinary team at a prestigious luxury resort located along the stunning Red Sea. This is an exceptional opportunity for culinary professionals looking to showcase their skills in a high-end dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the butchery section preparing and cutting a variety of meats and fish according to the resorts high standards.
- Ensure that all meat and fish products are inspected for quality upon delivery adhering to proper storage techniques to maintain freshness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the butchery and preparation areas following strict hygiene and safety protocols.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and sous chefs to ensure efficient kitchen operations and to respond to special requests or menu changes.
- Participate in inventory management including tracking stock levels and notifying superiors of necessary orders.
- Contribute to menu development by providing suggestions based on seasonal availability and quality of ingredients.

Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a butcher in a high-end hotel luxury resort or fine dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and handling various cuts of meat.
- Experience with fish preparation and standards of quality control.
- Educational background in culinary arts preferred but relevant experience will be considered.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety practices.
