The Materials Handling System (MHS) Inspector is responsible for coordinating and supporting the interface work scope between the main building contractor and the MHS specialist installer. The MHS Inspector will work closely with various team members to ensure coordination and communicated is achieved. Logistics material movement and access to work areas will be planned and managed to assure conformance with the project specifications and ensure design intent of the related project works.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating activities between the main building contractor and the warehousing or material handling installer
- Coordinates with project stakeholders regarding project submissions and approvals
- Reviews related documents and drawings including reviewing approving technical submittals
- Monitor information flow and drawings control
- Inspects the works at site
- Attend interface coordination meetings
- Provides regular updates and reports
Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in Electrical Electronic Building Services Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- Has installation experience in Material Handling System (MHS) and/or Baggage Handling System (BHS) and/or major automation system
- Prior experience in airport cargo terminal projects
- With minimum of 7 years relevant experience
- Team player with good analytical communication and interpersonal skills proactive attitude and able to work under pressure
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good report writing and reporting skills is a must
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with peers client and other stakeholders.
