Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to provide engineering and design support for offshore oil & gas facilities. Candidates with experience in Saudi Aramco offshore projects will be given priority. The role involves designing electrical systems managing deliverables and ensuring full compliance with offshore and Aramco standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop electrical system designs for offshore platforms including power generation distribution and lighting systems.
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams load lists cable schedules equipment specifications and layout drawings.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards and applicable international codes (e.g. IEC NEC IEEE).
- Perform electrical load studies short circuit analysis and voltage drop calculations using ETAP or similar tools.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines (e.g. instrumentation mechanical civil) for coordinated design.
- Review vendor documents and participate in FAT/SAT inspections for electrical equipment (MCCs transformers switchgear etc.).
- Provide technical support during procurement construction and commissioning phases.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8-15 years of experience in electrical engineering within offshore oil & gas projects.
- Prior experience with Saudi Aramco offshore projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with offshore electrical design requirements hazardous area classification and protection systems.
- Proficiency in electrical software tools (e.g. ETAP SKM SPEL).
- Strong understanding of offshore constructability and maintenance access principles.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
