Job Summary
Apt Resources is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Commis 1 to join a premier Luxury Resort located by the stunning Red this role you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests through the preparation of exquisite dishes that highlight both local and international cuisines.
As a Commis 1 you will work in a dynamic kitchen environment collaborating with a team of skilled chefs to ensure the highest standards of culinary excellence. This is a unique opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a breathtaking location.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes under the supervision of the senior chefs
- Assist in menu planning and preparation of daily specials
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Contribute to the training of junior kitchen staff
- Support the kitchen in achieving operational efficiency and consistency
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis 1 or in a similar role within a resort or upscale restaurant
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced culinary environment
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow in the kitchen
