Rebar Detailer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Rebar Detailer to join our engineering team. The Rebar Detailer will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings for the placement of reinforcing steel (rebar) used in concrete construction projects. This role involves interpreting construction drawings and specifications preparing bar bending schedules (BBS) and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings to create accurate rebar placement and shop drawings.

• Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) and ensure they match drawing details.

• Use CAD software (AutoCAD RebarCAD Tekla or similar) to generate detailed drawings.

• Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes project specifications and client standards (ACI BS IS etc.).

• Coordinate with structural engineers project managers and other stakeholders to resolve detailing issues.

• Review and check drawings before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Update drawings as required due to design changes or field issues.

• Maintain organized records and document revisions appropriately.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Proven experience as a Rebar Detailer (typically 2 years).

• Proficient in AutoCAD RebarCAD Tekla Structures or equivalent detailing software.

• Strong understanding of rebar detailing standards and construction practices.

• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
