Payments BA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Payments Business Analyst to join our this role you will be responsible for analyzing designing and optimizing payment systems and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering Finance and Compliance to ensure seamless secure and scalable payment solutions that align with business ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and document current payment processes systems and workflowsCollaborate with stakeholders to gather define and validate business and technical requirementsDesign and document business process flows use cases and functional specificationsSupport the implementation of new payment methods gateways and platformsProvide post-go-live support including issue tracking resolution coordination and performance monitoringMaintain comprehensive documentation including BRDs FRDs user guides and training materialsConduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements to enhance payment efficiency and reduce riskMonitor and analyze payment performance metrics such as success rates chargebacks and fraud trendsEnsure compliance with relevant regulations such as UAEFTS IPP AML/KYCFacilitate user acceptance testing coordinate test cases and validate resultsWork closely with IT and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of payment solutionsConduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and technologiesAssist in reconciliation and settlement processes and support finance teams with reporting needsAct as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarityPreferred SkillsAbility to transpose the business requirement to system requirementAble to understand Jira application in order to create Jira storyboards wireframes epics and user storiesAbility to quickly grasp Agile techniques and Agile developmentAbility to understand the business impacts across various backend systemsAbility to work with people at all levels in the organizationShows judgment self-confidence and ability to work under tight schedulesShows determination and ability to find solutions and develop effective courses of actionHas effective communication skills and able to provide solutions and workarounds to solve business problemsExperience with reconciliation and settlement processesUnderstanding of digital wallets and real-time paymentsCertifications such as CBAP PMI-PBA or similar are a plusQualificationsBachelors degree in business finance IT or a related fieldFive or more years of experience as a Business Analyst preferably in the payments or fintech industryStrong understanding of payment ecosystems such as Swift UAE local payments card networks wallets and cross-border paymentsExperience with payment gateways processors and APIsExcellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skillsFamiliarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plusExperience with reconciliation and settlement processes
