The Pipeline Designer is responsible for preparing and developing detailed pipeline designs drawings and layouts for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. This role involves working closely with engineers project teams and other disciplines to ensure compliance with project specifications industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare pipeline design drawings plans and schematics using CAD/3D software (e.g. AutoCAD MicroStation PDMS or equivalent).
Assist in route selection alignment sheets and material take-offs.
Ensure designs comply with engineering standards codes (ASME API ISO) and project specifications.
Collaborate with engineers project managers and other disciplines to resolve design-related issues.
Update and maintain pipeline drawings and documents throughout the project lifecycle.
Review vendor drawings perform clash checks and incorporate feedback.
Participate in design review meetings HAZOP/HAZID and constructability reviews.
Support the preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation.
