Job Summary
Were looking for an experienced Structural Engineer/Civil Coordinator to oversee civil engineering coordination for 220kV and 33kV GIS substations (ESF area). The ideal professional will have 10-15 years of experience working with consultants or contractors on recently completed 220kV or 400kV substations within TRANSCO/utility projects
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate civil engineering scope for substation infrastructure foundations cable trenches equipment pads and structure integration.
- Review and validate civil designs (ETABS/SAFE) interfacing closely with substation layout electrical and structural teams to ensure constructability and compliance.
- Liaise with consultants contractors and TRANSCO stakeholders through site execution and handover phases.
- Provide inputs for foundation design soil investigation review and civil detailing aligned with TRANSCO standards.
- Support project planning progress tracking and preparation of civil deliverables including RFQs BOQs and interim reports.
- Maintain high quality control standards and ensure all civil execution meets technical specifications and safety guidelines.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in civil coordination for high-voltage substations (220kV or higher) preferably within TRANSCO projects.
- Bachelors or Masters in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in ETABS and SAFE is mandatory.
- Available to work on-site full-time in the Abu Dhabi office.
- Excellent coordination communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledgeable in GCC substation civil standards and regulatory compliance.
