Job Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a vital role in the design engineering implementation and management of electrical systems for infrastructure projects. Also Expertise / knowledge in overhead transmission lines (OHTL) for 33kV etc. will be an added advantage. The successful candidate will ensure that electrical systems are designed and engineered in compliance with industry codes and standards within project budget and timelines. .
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for infrastructure projects ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical requirements with civil structural and mechanical systems.
- Oversee the development of project specifications technical reports and engineering documentation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost estimates for electrical systems.
- Ensure effective project management practices monitoring project progress and troubleshooting any issues related to electrical systems.
- Liaise with clients stakeholders and regulatory authorities to ensure project alignment and compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies recommending improvements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in electrical engineering specifically within infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g. NEC IEC).
- Experience with power system analysis distribution design and protection systems.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies will be an added advantage.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problemsolving mindset with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Adaptability to change and willingness to learn new technologies.
