RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement modern data analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data models and dashboards.
- Build and maintain pipelines using Data Factory in Fabric for data ingestion and transformation.
- Design semantic models and datasets using Power BI Direct Lake Import or LiveConnect options.
- Utilize OneLake as a centralized data lake and implement data governance best practices.
- Enable selfservice BI by developing userfriendly reports dashboards and metrics layers.
- Integrate Fabric with external data sources (onprem/cloud) and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Ensure security compliance and efficient data lifecycle management within the Fabric platform.
- Provide technical training and support to users and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Information Systems or related field.
- 35 years of experience in BI and data platform solutions including recent work with Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong handson experience with:
- Power BI (including DAX Power Query)
- Synapse Data Warehouse (in Fabric)
- Data Factory pipelines (Fabric)
- OneLake
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts ETL/ELT processes and data governance.
- Experience with integrating Microsoft Fabric with Microsoft 365 Azure or thirdparty services.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certifications: e.g. Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
- Experience working in Agile project environments.
- Familiarity with data security and compliance in regulated industries.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like SQL Python or M.
