Key Responsibilities
- Install and conduct tests on new broadcasting and audiovisual (AV) equipment.
- Perform advanced crimping on connectors such as BNC Micro BNC RJ45 and XLR.
- Configure and maintain AV broadcast and IT networks including star network configurations.
- Set up and support equipment for virtual studio productions.
- Operate and supervise AV connections between units and during remote broadcasts.
- Set up and manage transmission links and AV circuits for both live and recorded shows.
- Diagnose and repair technical issues quickly to reduce equipment downtime.
- Design and build custom AV hardware and systems.
- Follow technical guidelines provided by product owners and directors to align with creative objectives.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety standards at all times.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies through research and networking.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and colleagues from other departments.
Essential Audio-Visual Skills & Technical Experience
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of photography fundamentals including aperture shutter speed ISO exposure and lenses.
- Advanced technical knowledge of professional cameras and AV systems.
- Experience working with electronic engineering and communication devices.
- Skilled in using video cameras and production video switchers.
- Practical experience with live chroma keying and SDI systems.
- Good color vision and hearing for accurate audiovisual work.
- Excellent IT proficiency and project management skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills.
- Team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
