Our client a major nationallevel bank based in the UAE is looking for an AVP and Product Manager of FacetoFace Payment Products/Solutions. This is a permanent role based in Dubai UAE. This role includes working closely with a Vice President Merchant Acquiring Products and Head of Payments of the Bank to grow the banks merchant acquiring portfolio and payment solutions and services infrastructure by launching new product offerings aligned with the bank s growth strategy that are technologically superior in the industry. Leading the POS Support team of the bank.
An employee selected for this senior role shall be responsible for:
- Assist and work closely with the VP Merchant Acquiring Product in daytoday activities to run the business and achieve the targets assigned to the unit
- Provide technical and functional support to both internal and external teams while new facetoface payment acceptance products and offerings are implemented
- Evaluate and present implementation strategy of new products and services that may be conceptualized by the VP Merchant Acquiring Product and other Senior members of the unit
- Expand acquisition channels for facetoface payment acceptance products (i.e; lead generators PSPs etc. with designing endtoend merchant onboarding processes
- Identify and come up with new ideas and value added services that can be added to existing product offering in order to gain an upper edge in the market and increase merchant stickiness
- Identify requirements for marketing materials and web site content and execute the changes
- Identify develop and deliver facetoface acceptance solutions in order to maximize effectiveness & efficiency of CAPEX budget assigned to the business
- Design acquisition campaigns / promotions with respective acquisition channels to boost merchant facetoface acceptance solutions sales
- Assist the sales team in on need basis by attending presales calls
- Prepare and present initiative scope goals and deliverables for initiatives assigned that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Work closely with the VP Payments Program and ensure the banks implementation guidelines are adhered while implementing new initiatives
- Ensure alignment to applicable regulations for all products and merchant touch points
- Work closely with Operations Compliance Internal Controls and Service Excellence Unit to enhance daytoday work flows and processes to avail best and most effective turnaround time to merchants
- Work closely with Business Banking and Wholesale Banking teams to enable SMEs and Enterprises with facetoface payment acceptance solutions
- Conduct technical presentations trainings and product demonstrations for internal and external audiences
- Get involved and share inputs in RFP analysis/response & pricing GAP analysis and requirements workshops
- Ensure existing and new products and services are compliant with schemes & other regulatory authorities governing the business
- Address the needs of acquiring business colleagues for ongoing business relationships
- Define and execute efficiency measures for POS Support team and optimize OPEX cost accordingly
- Manage POS Support team and ensure task completions within defined turn around times
- Track customer complaints and conduct root cause analysis to plan for corrective actions for resolution
- Manage POS SIM and spare parts inventories ensuring zero discrepancy
- Manage Etisalat Managed Services relationship ensure adherence to contact and conduct monthly reconciliation to track terminals.
Requirements
A successful candidate for this senior role shall have the following competencies and skills:
- Minimum 57 years of experience in the payment card industry and related systems preferably in POS and Ecommerce business
- A proven track record of successful project/product implementations in the Acquiring Business
- Good knowledge of card acquiring business and processes
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving capabilities
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities. React to product adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment is crucial
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Team management experience
- Experience in all project life cycle phases of initiation planning and closure.
Education requirements:
- Minimum a bachelors degree in IT Engineering Science etc.
- A post graduate degree/diploma will be an added advantage.
