Roles and responsibilities
- A Storekeeper is a key role in many organizations, responsible for managing inventory, storing goods, and ensuring that materials and products are available when needed. Storekeepers play a vital role in warehouses, retail stores, manufacturing plants, and logistics companies by organizing stock and maintaining efficient supply chain operations.Procure workshop consumables, tools, equipment, and manuals based on instructions from management.
- Receive and inspect all indented materials to ensure quality and quantity.
- Ensure timely return of all issued materials and maintain accurate records.
- Provide administrative support to the Workshop Manager, including attendance record management and inventory audits.
- Maintain high standards of safety in the storage area.
- Monitor waste stock and organize disposal as necessary.
Required Skills To Be Successful
- Stock Management experience for 2 years
- Excellent MS Office skills, Excel in particular; SAP added advantage
- Very good English communication and negotiation skills
- Valid UAE driving license
About The Team
The role will report to the Aftersales Manager and you will be working in a busy workshop environment wherein you will be dealing directly with Workshop Supervisor, Controller, Foreman & Technicians in a daily basis.
What Equips You For The Role
An ideal candidate will have a Trade related Certificate or Diploma in Automotive and at least 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Storekeeper in an automotive workshop. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Inventory Management:
- Receiving goods: Ensure that all incoming products or materials are received, checked for damage, and stored properly.
- Stocking: Organize and store items in the appropriate locations in the warehouse or store, making sure that they are easy to access and clearly labeled.
- Inventory control: Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure that stock is rotated based on expiration dates or usage (especially in retail or food sectors).
- Stock reconciliation: Perform regular stock checks (physical counts) and reconcile any discrepancies with recorded inventory levels in the system.

Order Fulfillment:
- Picking and packing orders: When inventory is needed for a customer or production, storekeepers pick the right items from stock, pack them securely, and prepare them for delivery or use.
- Dispatch: Ensure that products are delivered on time by coordinating with the transportation or logistics teams.

Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Updating records: Keep accurate records of stock transactions, including receipts, issuance, returns, and sales.
- Reporting: Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and order fulfillment. Storekeepers may also report on any potential shortages or overstock situations.

Maintenance and Housekeeping:
- Organization: Keep the warehouse or stockroom clean, organized, and safe, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
- Equipment maintenance: Ensure that material-handling equipment (like forklifts or pallet jacks) is in good condition and report any maintenance issues.

- Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents or damage to goods, especially in environments dealing with hazardous materials or heavy machinery.
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as health and safety laws, quality standards, and industry-specific guidelines.

- Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and production, to ensure that the right materials are available at the right time.
- Problem-solving: Address any stock-related issues, such as shortages, excess inventory, or damaged goods, and communicate these challenges to relevant departments.
