Job Description
Job Title: Weblogic Administrator
General Description:
Responsible for the support and management of software solutions implemented
at Daman with the highest attention to detail and compliance to Daman standards
and brand guidelines. The role will be clustered according to technologies.
Provide the full spectrum of IT services ranging from user support infrastructure
and application management to application development architectural and
business servicesMain Duties:
Support Daman s regional leadership in its need for automation innovation and
digitalisation
This position requires a good understanding of Daman applications and processes
from business and technical perspective.
Work in partnership with end users supporting and advising them how to use Daman
Applications to meet their business objectives and resolve technical issues.
Monitor the operational performance of Daman applications and processes.
Application maintenance and support to cover 24x7 support.
Perform root cause assessment debug all issues on Daman applications in scope.
Identify software faults/bugs and communicate application problems and issues to
key stakeholders including management development teams end users and unit
leaders.
Perform Patches & Upgrades.
Provide weekly reports on the application tasks issues and workarounds.
Provide feedback and advice as guide to the team members when required.
Respect and promote trust and confidentiality.
Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work and able to think out of the
box.
Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
Able to work in a multicultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge
sharing to achieve goals and deliverables.
Prepare and maintain standard operating procedure documentation
Monitor applications availability and take appropriate action to maintain agreed SLAs
Provide risk assessments in supporting new projects.
Recommend changes or enhancements in available IT after getting the feedback from
the business.
Engage in ongoing research of emerging trends and new technologies which may
benefit the corporation goal of strategically implementing technology to enhance
business performance and specifically support the support services function.
Requirements
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum 7 years of progressive IT Application support)
Minimum 5 years in relevant technology area
Experience in Health Insurance sector is an added advantage
Licensure Requirements
Relevant technical certification in a specific technology area is an added advantage
ITIL / Project Management Certification is an added advantage
Education
Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or other relevant field
of study or Certificate or Diploma from higher educational institute.
Masters degree is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
Dynamic selfdriven with strong business understanding and background
Solid understanding of multiple tier application architecture
Experience with large scale enterpriselevel systems related application
support
Good Experience in installation and administration of Oracle BEA WebLogic BI
Publisher and Web servers.
Good knowledge in Server and Space Management.
Experience in scripting and setting up automation tools for CICD pipelines
preferably Jenkins.
Good Experience in patching Oracle EBS 12.2 tech stack.
Good knowledge of the recent web service technology (WebServices BPEL
Interfaces etc.) and middleware technologies (Weblogic JBoss Tomcat IIS)
Good knowledge of Linux OS (Redhat Oracle Linux)
Knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) Oracle DB.
Good understanding of all aspects of enterprise application suites (networks
database configuration server configuration web server optimisation load
balancing hardware SQL tuning etc.)
Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic is an
advantage.
Very good analytical planning forecasting execution and problemsolving
skills
Ability to acquire and apply new skills.
Able to work in a multicultural environment and promote teamwork and
knowledge sharing to achieve goals and deliverables.
Good knowledge in Atlassian suite of applications (Jira Confluence BitBucket
Bamboo).
