Roles and responsibilities

Experience: 4 to 6 Years

Language: Excellent in English & Tagalog

Education: Diploma

Job Description

  • Minimum 4 – 6 years of experience in maintenance and overhaul of large Steam Turbines or Major Inspection of Industrial Gas Turbines, High-Pressure Industrial Boilers.
  • Experience in Overhaul of Large vertical Circulation Water pumps, Multistage high-pressure Feed Water pumps, Air & Gas Compressors, FD Fans, Diesel Generators and High-Pressure Valves etc
  • Knowledge of the rigging of parts of large machines and various measuring instruments and precision tools.
  • Capability to align turbine & generator couplings or pump and motor couplings
  • Able to read and understand machine drawings and should be familiar with fits and tolerances in assembly of machinery
  • 1. Technical and Mechanical Skills

  • Engine Diagnostics: Proficient in diagnosing issues with engines, whether in vehicles, machinery, or industrial equipment, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Mechanical Repairs: Skilled in repairing and replacing parts in mechanical systems, such as engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
  • Mechanical Systems: Knowledge of various mechanical systems, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and complex machinery components.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Experience with welding, cutting, and fabricating metal parts, when necessary, for repairs or custom modifications.
  • 2. Tool Proficiency

  • Hand and Power Tools: Expertise in using a variety of hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers) and power tools (e.g., drills, grinders, impact drivers) to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnostic Equipment: Familiarity with specialized diagnostic tools such as OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) scanners, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure gauges to troubleshoot issues.
  • Machine Tools: Knowledge of machines like lathes, milling machines, or CNC machines used for shaping, cutting, or modifying parts.
  • 3. Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking

  • Troubleshooting: Strong ability to identify problems in complex mechanical systems and determine the best course of action for repairs.
  • Decision-Making: Applying logical thinking and technical knowledge to decide how to fix problems or prevent future breakdowns.
  • Creative Solutions: Finding innovative solutions for problems that may require custom repairs or modifications.
  • 4. Preventive Maintenance

  • Routine Checks: Performing scheduled maintenance to ensure the ongoing operation of mechanical systems, whether in vehicles, machinery, or equipment.
  • Lubrication and Adjustments: Applying lubricants, adjusting components, and checking fluid levels to ensure smooth operation and avoid mechanical failures.
  • System Inspections: Inspecting and identifying wear and tear in parts such as belts, bearings, hoses, and fluid lines to prevent breakdowns.
  • 5. Vehicle or Machinery Knowledge

  • Automotive Maintenance: Expertise in maintaining and repairing vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy equipment. This includes engines, suspension, exhaust systems, and electrical systems.
  • Industrial Equipment: Knowledge of maintaining machinery used in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and agriculture, including forklifts, cranes, and industrial engines.
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems: Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and how to troubleshoot and repair them, often used in heavy equipment and machinery.
