Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Core Supply Chain Knowledge

  1. Logistics Management:

    • Understanding transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
    • Familiarity with shipping processes and freight management.
  2. Inventory Management:

    • Techniques like Just-in-Time (JIT), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and safety stock management.
  3. Procurement and Sourcing:

    • Vendor selection and negotiation.
    • Knowledge of purchase orders and supplier relationship management.
  4. Supply Chain Processes:

    • Knowledge of supply chain models like SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference).
    • Understanding demand planning and production scheduling.

Analytical and Technical Skills

  1. Data Analysis:

    • Analyzing supply chain performance using KPIs such as lead time, order accuracy, and fill rate.
    • Proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  2. ERP and SCM Software:
