Roles and responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the Supervision Consultants’ performance in their role and responsibility as the Engineer under the Contract for the Construction packages
- Advise and provide reports to the Employer on Construction issues and their impact on the Construction schedule
- Identify, track and log and monitor the critical issues during the Construction Project phases
- Identify and highlight risks/conflicts and capture them in the Project Risk Register
- Provide assessment of the impact of each Change, Variation, and Potential event and suggest alternative directions or mitigation actions; ensuring Employer delay events are avoided
- Identify and drive the resolution of issues that are impacting the Construction Programmes
- Undertake review and assessment within the FIDIC Contract of the Consultant’s assessment of Contractor’s Extension Of Time claims
- Manage the Supervision Consultants’ teams within the terms of the Contract Agreements
Here's what you'll need
As a successful candidate you will
- Previously held the position of Senior Project Manager position or equivalent within a Consultant and/or Contractor environment
- Have a minimum of 15 years’ post graduate experience within Infrastructure Construction
- Have at least 5-years’ Programme Management Consultant experience
- Experience in leading and managing Project teams through all phases of Project Construction execution, closeout, and handover of Utility Networks/Buildings to the relevant Authority; consistent with the established Project delivery processes to achieve the scope, schedule and budget.
- Experience of working on major Civil Infrastructure (and/or mixed-use developments), Utility Networks, Utility Buildings and ideally Marine Projects.
- Have experience leading and managing project teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes in order to meet the scope, schedule and budget
- Have a excellent understanding of all primary infrastructure disciplines such as Roads, Power, wet & dry Utilities, Utility buildings and a working understanding of design principles
- Experience across the full project lifecycle with respect to Health & Safety and Quality
- Have proven experience delivery of Construction projects within the UAE and/or the region
- Have proven experience managing or working within a Supervision Consultant for the delivery of Project Construction packages
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience of the Authority standards/requirements in Abu Dhabi
- Be an excellent communicator with Consultants and Contractors
- Experience of FIDIC forms of Contract is essential.
- Ideally reside in Abu Dhabi, or within a reasonable commuting distance of other Emirates
