Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work directly with the Client to deliver the Projects within the Time, Price and Quality. Candidates for these Projects should demonstrate some Projects (Civil, Utilities, and Landscape, etc) experience of Projects up to $200m in a PMC Delivery capacity. Candidates for these Projects should demonstrate experience in a PMC capacity.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in developing and managing assigned component projects; including development of the scope of works, preparation of the project plans establishment and monitoring of the project program, integration of requirements across all functions, monitoring the execution, budget invoices, project delivery, co-ordination with all stakeholders.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor of Engineering with minimum of 15 years of experience
  • Proactive personality to resolve Design & Construction issues to support in the delivery of the Project
  • Liaison with Authorities, Entities and Stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and preferable Arabic
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to address technical and logistical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Decision Making: Ability to make informed decisions quickly, balancing project needs with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance and Safety

  • Safety Standards: Understanding of safety regulations and best practices related to construction in aviation environments.
  • Environmental Awareness: Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices affecting airfield development.
  • Continuous Learning

  • Industry Trends: Commitment to staying updated on advancements in civil engineering, aviation technology, and project management methodologies.
  • Professional Development: Pursuit of relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) and involvement in professional organizations related to civil engineering and aviation.

Desired candidate profile

  1. Civil Engineering Expertise: Strong background in civil engineering principles, particularly in airfield design and construction (runways, taxiways, aprons).
  2. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with aviation regulations and standards (e.g., FAA, ICAO) that govern airfield design and operations.
  3. Site Development: Knowledge of site development processes, including grading, drainage, and utility management.

Project Management

  1. Project Planning: Ability to develop comprehensive project plans, including scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  2. Risk Management: Skills in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  3. Quality Control: Experience in implementing quality assurance processes to ensure that work meets technical specifications and standards.

Communication Skills

  1. Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
  2. Reporting: Proficiency in preparing and presenting project status reports, including progress, challenges, and financial performance.

Leadership and Team Management

  1. Team Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration among all stakeholders.
  2. Mentoring: Experience in mentoring junior engineers and project staff, fostering their professional development.

Financial Acumen

  1. Budget Management: Skills in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial accountability.
  2. Contract Management: Experience in overseeing contracts related to construction, ensuring compliance with terms and effective negotiation.

Problem-Solving Skills

  1. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to address technical and logistical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
