Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings layouts and schematics based on project specifications and engineering requirements.
- Draft and revise electrical designs for lighting power distribution fire alarm systems communication systems and other electrical services.
- Assist engineers in developing electrical designs and ensure that all drawings comply with local regulations standards and client requirements.
- Generate asbuilt drawings for completed projects ensuring all modifications during construction are accurately documented.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and other disciplines to ensure proper coordination of designs.
- Review and update existing electrical drawings as per project changes and site conditions.
- Ensure that all drawings are produced to a high standard with accurate dimensions details and notes.
- Maintain organized records of all electrical drawings and related documentation.
- Support the preparation of tender construction and shop drawings for various project phases.
- Conduct site visits when required to gather data for drafting or to verify existing conditions for asbuilt drawings.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Drafting or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of drafting experience in the GCC with a strong background in electrical systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Familiarity with local GCC regulations standards and codes related to electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience working on largescale building infrastructure or industrial projects is preferred.
- Strong communication skills capable of working effectively with engineers architects and contractors.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
