Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Investigates and resolves software problems on AU computer systems; performs software repairs, maintenance, technical assistance, and support on various PC-based computers and peripherals.
  • Provides technical assistance, support, and troubleshooting in resolving system communications failures and conflicts.
  • Provides general and in-depth guidance, assistance, and support to users on diverse software/applications and operating systems as requested.
  • maintains a high standard of customer service in dealing with and responding to questions.
  • Performs routine, day-to-day hardware and software maintenance as assigned and assists in utilization of systems.
  • Work on the orders until completion or escalate to the senior technical support.
  • Restore and configure many PCs via the Image backup solutions created by senior technical support.
  • Follow up and fully document individual cases via helpdesk software.
  • Provide Technical support to users’ PCs/Devices that may require access to critical/confidential data.
  • Provide technical support on IT equipment during events, seminars, workshops, and video conferences
  • Resolve users’ technical issues assigned through the helpdesk.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record maintenance.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of events and activities for students.
  • Answer inquiries from students and provide information on services and resources.
  • Maintain organized documentation and assist in preparing reports.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student programs and initiatives.

Desired candidate profile

Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role.
Familiarity with office procedures and administrative tasks.
Key Skills:

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Proficient in typing and data entry.
Interpersonal Skills:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office software.
Familiarity with office equipment (e.g., printers, scanners, fax machines).
Personal Attributes:

Dependable and trustworthy with sensitive information.
Adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
Responsibilities:

Manage schedules and calendars, including scheduling appointments and meetings.
Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
Maintain organized filing systems and ensure proper documentation.
Answer phones and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
Support other administrative staff and assist with special projects as needed.
