Job Description
A goldsmith requires a range of ss to master the craft of working with precious metals and stones.
1. Metalworking: Proficiency in working with metals like gold silver and platinum including melting molding cutting and soldering.
2. Jewelry Design: The ability to design intricate pieces either by hand or using computeraided design (CAD) software.
3. Stone Setting: Expertise in setting various gemstones into metal pieces without damaging them.
4. Polishing & Finishing: Sed in polishing and finishing jewelry to a high sheen ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
5. Engraving: Knowledge of detailed engraving to personalize or add intricate details to pieces.
6. Welding & Soldering: Ability to securely join metal pieces with precision and care.
7. Tool Handling: Mastery of specialized tools such as hammers anvils pliers and files.
8. Attention to Detail: Precision is critical in ensuring highquality workmanship symmetry and aesthetics.
9. Patience & Dexterity: Goldsmithing involves intricate work requiring patience a steady hand and good handeye coordination.
10. Knowledge of Gemstones: Understanding the properties of different gemstones and how they interact with metals.
11. Problem Solving: The ability to think creatively to fix damaged jewelry or create custom designs based on client requests.
Requirements
At least Highschool Graduate or a shortcourse relevant to Metal Works
