Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve short-term and long-term financial objectives.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, and executive management team.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure the financial health of the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize and optimize financial performance.
• Implement and manage financial controls and systems within the business.
• Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably within a FinTech startup environment.
• Proven experience with financial management, financial reporting, GAAP, business strategy, forecasting, and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership skills with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• Understanding of and ability to use financial software and programs.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Experience with managing and developing teams.
• Strong business and common sense.
