The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the financial activities of our multi-entity organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, exceptional organizational skills, be highly detail oriented, and have experience managing multiple sets of books. This is a hands-on role with an emphasis on performing duties that support the team and management, allowing them to make financial, operational, and strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong accounting background with experience managing multiple sets of books and overseeing financial consolidation and reporting. You should be able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also important for this role, as the Accounting Manager will need to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization and communicate complex financial information in an understandable manner. A Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required for this position, along with at least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years of experience managing multiple sets of books. CPA or CMA certification is also a plus. This is a hybrid position, and we require the applicant to be in the Greater Boston area.
Liaison with sales team and operations team members to invoice customers timely and accurately
Payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy of deductions and contributions and compliance with relevant laws and regulations for multiple entities
Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple entities
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, accounts receivable, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
Prepare consolidated financial statements for the entire organization
Prepare and manage the month-end close process for all entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Coordinate with external vendors for annual tax filing and financial audits and reviews
Ad hoc project assistance
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field, CPA or CMA certification is a plus
2-3 years of accounting experience
Experience managing multiple sets of books and understanding inter-company transactions
Proficient in Excel
Experience with payroll processing and benefit deductions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated, able to prioritize, and multitask to meet daily deadlines
Experience working in the staffing and/or consulting industries is a plus
