Job Description
- Prepare and marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables for Tandoori cooking.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Tandoori cooking techniques and traditional recipes.
- Operate and manage the Tandoor oven effectively.
- Grill, roast, and bake dishes in the Tandoor oven, ensuring consistent quality and timely preparation.
- Monitor and adjust cooking temperatures as needed to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
- Ensure that all dishes prepared in the Tandoor section meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist in stock management and control to minimize wastage and maintain freshness.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef regarding daily menus, specials, and any operational challenges.
- Keep the Tandoor oven and surrounding work areas clean and organized.
- Report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
