As a Speciality Waiter/Waitress at Banyan Tree Dubai, you play a vital role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service, ensuring guest satisfaction objectives are met. Your friendly and attentive approach, combined with efficient service, contributes to an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized service, ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience.
  • Welcome guests warmly, accurately take orders, and offer recommendations.
  • Set up tables meticulously, creating an inviting atmosphere.
  • Deliver service according to standards and sequence.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the menu to assist guests.
  • Ensure guest expectations are exceeded through attentive service.
  • Offer expert advice on food selections based on guest preferences.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service.
  • Collaborate with stewarding and housekeeping to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement up-selling techniques to maximize revenue.
  • Report any defects to supervisors and maintain cleanliness.
  • Handle guest complaints effectively or escalate as needed.

Qualifications

Experience/Certificates/Education

  • Previous experience in a similar role internationally or a minimum of 2 years in luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Friendly and hospitable approach, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and handling guest inquiries with tact.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and billing procedures.
  • Good oral proficiency in English language.
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team.
  • Self-motivated and energetic.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and well-groomed appearance consistently.
