Purchase Officer - Thomsun Group

We are hiring a Purchase/ Procurement Officer for our food division at Thomsun Food.

Location: Ajman

A procurement officer in the food industry plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials necessary for food production. Their responsibilities typically include:

• Sourcing Suppliers: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers of raw materials ingredients packaging materials and equipment necessary for food production.
• Negotiation: Negotiating contracts prices and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the company while maintaining quality standards.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability quality and timely delivery of goods.
• Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels and managing procurement schedules to ensure that adequate supplies are available to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory.
• Cost Management: Continuously seeking costsaving opportunities through supplier negotiations process improvements and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborating with quality control and assurance teams to ensure that all procured materials meet the companys quality and safety standards.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing food production safety and procurement practices.
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks related to supply chain disruptions quality issues and supplier dependencies.
• Data Analysis: Analyzing procurement data to identify trends track performance metrics and make datadriven decisions to optimize procurement processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeking opportunities to improve procurement processes streamline operations and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Should have experience managing import on food based products in UAE.

Job Type: Fulltime

Pay: AED5000.00 AED7000.00 per month
