Job Description


Key Responsibilities

  • Scope and plan future store locations and concepts; working with senior leadership, create a roadmap for US and international retail expansion.
  • Manage the retail P&L across Thuma’s entire brick and mortar retail business.
  • Lead store launches. Coordinate and oversee the new store openings, creating energy around openings and maximizing store promotion and in-store events.
  • Hands on management for all store openings to ensure initial in-store operational excellence. Be responsible for all aspects of new store operations until we have 100% confidence that new stores are operating successfully. This includes ensuring customer service standards,hiring, training and managing staff, ensuring operations are in line with company standards, ensuring on-brand visual merchandising, maintaining inventory levels, and hitting in-store KPIs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the retail management team to ensure consistent operations and high-performance across all stores.
  • Implement strategies to optimize profitability, control costs, and drive sales.
  • Ensure consistency across stores during product releases and all marketing initiatives. Ensure consistent brand presentation and customer experience across all retail, customer experience and eCommerce touchpoints at all times.
  • Establish and implement standard operating procedures, ensuring that all stores operate efficiently and uphold brand standards.
  • Create a welcoming, customer-centric environment, with a consistent focus on hospitality, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty, and on delivering a 6-star customer experience across all stores.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and retail leaders to create marketing plans for in-store promotions, visual merchandising strategies, and special events that align with the brand's direction.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory positioning across all stores and create different inventory and fulfillment processes depending on the market and customer expectations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, logistics, and human resources to ensure retail objectives are met.
  • Work closely with the CX team and product teams to optimize feedback loops throughout CX, product and retail.
  • Engage with company leadership to provide updates, insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the retail division remains competitive, while continuously reviewing processes, seeking improvements and efficiencies where possible.
