We have been given an exciting mandate by our client is a leading manufacturing company in the UAE. They are looking for an Environment and Sustainability Engineer. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing environmentally sustainable practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Environment and Sustainability Engineer will work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to drive initiatives that minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable practices within our organization. In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of local state and federal environmental regulations.
- Ensure organizational compliance with all relevant environmental laws and standards. Prepare reports for EAD Reporting etc.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments.
- Develop implement and continuously improve sustainability strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability principles into business operations.
- Calculating monitoring and identifying initiatives to drive reduction of GHG emissions.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
- Implement energy conservation initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
- Implement Strategies to decrease energy consumption reduce emissions recycling programs waste reduction strategies etc.
- Explore and recommend the integration of renewable energy sources.
- Collaborate with external partners to assess and implement sustainable energy solutions.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects.
- Implement ecofriendly printing practices identify opportunities to upgrade equipment and adopt energyefficient technologies.
- Recommend and implement measures to mitigate adverse environmental effects.
- Design and implement waste reduction and recycling programs.
- Evaluate waste management processes to minimize environmental impact.
- Collect and analyze environmental data to measure the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports on key sustainability metrics.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering Sustainability or related field.
- Proven experience in environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Certification in environmental management or sustainability is a plus.
