DBA for UAE

VAM Systems is currently looking for DBA for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions: Experience Requirement - 8-12 years experience in Database development and administration of Oracle/ SQL Server / MySQL - Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL - Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding - Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools - High quality organizational and leadership skills - Good communication and presentation skills - To have a strong technical background and excellent IT skills Competency Should be able to do administration, database development, Performance Tuning, Implement new features and design physical & logical data model must have experience in Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Toad for Oracle, SQL Server Management Studio, HeidiSQL/Dbeaver, Security, Design, Monitoring Nice to have experience in Scrum Process, Azure DevOps etc. Responsibilities Monitors database schema of all environments, considering database growth, usage, and capacity. Have an overview of the data model of the different apps Implement & design High Availability & Replication Implement system versioning/Partition, Index, and In-Memory Tables whenever requires. Design standards for using normalized, de-normalized, and dimensional data structures. Analyze the Volume of data, Data transactions, and Concurrent users and prepare the utilization document and raise the request to Increase the resources (CPU/Memory/Ram) Ensures all monitoring is in place (Orion, AppInsight, Single page dashboard, other SQL monitors) Alerts / takes proactive measures (related to infrastructure) to ensure business continuity Maintains metadata on the database Helps build and run teams on SQL queries and stored procedures Works closely with team architects, and solution architects to jointly identify good database solutions and design physical & logical data models. Review any major scripts impacting data correction (For e.g.: migration scripts) Defines database best practices that are shared with the team Monitors performance/long-running queries, analyses the root cause and proposes performance tuning Request infrastructure for new projects, coordinate with the infrastructure team and publish applications on Internet & Intranet Upgrade local & developer environment with the latest patch & database version Migrate Oracle to SQL/MySQL /PostgreSQL and SQL Server to MySQL/PostgreSQL & provide end-to-end support Upgrade & Support for oracle 12C to 19C Is the link between the app and the T.EN Infrastructure team Design & Implement DTSX solution for file transfer & automate the processes Implement Data Encryption, Data Masking, Row Level Security 'Monitors database schema of all environments, considering database growth, usage, and capacity.
