Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials and equipment.
• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
• Maintain inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to support mining activities.
• Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, monitor stock levels, and generate reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan for upcoming projects, and allocate resources effectively.
• Address any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, orders, or deliveries in a timely manner.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among warehouse staff.
  
  

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in warehouse management or similar role, preferably in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics processes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English (written and verbal) is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
