- Coordinating with other departments to ensure that projects are completed within time constraints
- Reporting directly to the executive director of a non-profit organization or other senior leader in charge of an organization’s operations
- Evaluating the success of programs and initiatives to determine what can be improved in future efforts
- Documenting progress on projects and tasks in an online project management system such as Basecamp or Asana
- Managing a team of departmental employees who work together to achieve common objectives
- Creating schedules for team members and providing feedback on their performance
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff members
- Acting as a liaison between the organization and clients or partner organizations
- Developing and implementing new programs to help address challenges within an industry or community
