- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders, communication difficulties, and swallowing issues. Establish accurate diagnoses and create individualized treatment plans.
- Therapy and Intervention: Develop and implement therapy programs tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and exercises to address speech, language, voice, and swallowing problems.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and document the progress of students. Adjust treatment plans as needed to maximize the effectiveness of therapy.
- Parent collaboration: Provide guidance and support to parents speech and language exercises to be carried out at home. Offer information on strategies for communication improvement.
- Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other therapists, educators, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care for the patient. Communicate progress and recommendations to relevant team members.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Professional Development: Stay current with research, therapy techniques, and industry trends by participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
