Senior Planning Engineer Hotel Projects

Location: Ras Al Khaimah United Arab Emirates

Job Description:We are currently in search of a seasoned Senior Planning Engineer with a strong background in hotel project planning and execution. The role will be based in Ras Al Khaimah and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in steering complex hotel construction and refurbishment projects to timely and successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules ensuring all hotel project milestones are achieved within the agreed timeframes.
• Coordinate effectively with architects engineers construction teams and various stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Apply expert knowledge of construction practices to analyze project proposals and identify the most efficient execution methods.
• Prepare indepth project reports and provide actionable insights to senior management and clients.
• Offer mentorship and support to junior planning staff and project team members.
• Formulate and enforce risk management strategies to minimize project delays and financial risks.
• Ensure strict adherence to the UAEs construction standards legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Facilitate regular project meetings maintaining clear and open communication channels between all parties involved.
• Leverage advanced project management software to maintain a transparent and realtime project progress tracking system.
• Adjust project plans based on site progress reviews ensuring seamless alignment with project goals.
• Liaise with procurement and finance departments to synchronize project timelines with budgetary constraints and material sourcing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or relevant technical discipline.
• At least 1015 years of specialized experience in planning and project management within the hotel sector.
• Mastery of project management tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Proficient understanding of construction engineering principles and project management best practices.
• Exceptional leadership qualities coupled with superb time management and organizational skills.
• Advanced analytical skills with a strong problemsolving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Project management certification (e.g. PMP Prince2) is highly regarded.
• Extensive knowledge of the local construction regulations and building standards in the UAE particularly in Ras Al Khaimah.
