Role Overview:
Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead and coordinate the pre-commissioning commissioning startup and handover of mechanical systems for offshore and petrochemical projects. The successful candidate will ensure all commissioning activities are carried out safely efficiently and in accordance with project specifications quality standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan coordinate and execute mechanical pre-commissioning commissioning startup and system handover activities.
- Review P&IDs GA drawings isometric drawings equipment datasheets vendor documents and commissioning procedures.
- Supervise mechanical completion flushing cleaning pressure testing leak testing and preservation activities.
- Coordinate commissioning of pumps compressors pressure vessels heat exchangers piping systems valves and tanks.
- Conduct functional testing performance testing alignment verification and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with Construction QA/QC Operations Vendors and Client representatives to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare commissioning procedures method statements test packs punch lists and commissioning reports.
- Monitor system completion activities and ensure timely closure of punch items inspection records (ITRs) and turnover dossiers.
- Lead troubleshooting and provide technical support during commissioning.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications company procedures HSE requirements and international standards.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Commissioning within Offshore Oil & Gas Petrochemical or Industrial projects.
- Experience in commissioning rotating and static equipment piping systems valves pressure testing flushing and mechanical completion.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs GA drawings isometric drawings equipment datasheets and commissioning documentation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems commissioning procedures and international industry standards.
- Strong communication coordination problem-solving and leadership skills.
