POSITION SUMMARY

The Learning & Development Executive forms part of the HR team. Under the leadership of the Director of HR this role promotes the hotels learning and development strategy to achieve talent growth and organizational outcomes. The responsibilities include the planning coordination and delivery of training and development programs in accordance with Marriott and Le Meridien standards. In this role the L&D Executive identifies training needs based on the skills that employees need to carry out their their jobs tracks training progress as well as maintains training records. The L&D Executive aims to create an organization where the employees have the opportunities capabilities and environment they need to learn effectively. Conduct new hire orientation training Assist with design and development of training programs. Develop training aids and multimedia tools to present training material. Order and manage inventory of training materials and supplies. Prepare for training classes (e.g. materials setup classes breakdown classes).

Key Responsibilities:


Learning and Development Strategy:

Align with the Director of HR to promote and implement the hotels learning and development strategy.

Work towards achieving talent growth and organizational outcomes through effective training programs.


Training Program Management:

Plan coordinate and deliver training and development programs in accordance with Marriott and Le Meridien standards.

Identify training needs by assessing the skills required for employees to excel in their roles.

Monitor and track the progress of training initiatives.

Maintain accurate training records for all employees.


Employee Learning Environment:

Strive to create an organizational culture where employees have the necessary opportunities capabilities and environment to learn effectively.


Onboarding Program:

Deliver and support the team in the execution of the hotels onboarding program for new associates.

Ensure a smooth transition for new employees into the organization.


General HR Support:

Assist with general human resources duties and projects.

Act as an HR representative providing support to employees and addressing HRrelated queries or concerns.

The L&D Executives role is multifaceted covering not only training and development but also extending to performance management employee engagement and wellness programs onboarding and general HR support. This comprehensive approach contributes to the overall success of the hotels human resources initiatives and the wellbeing and growth of its workforce.


Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Enter and locate workrelated information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
