Investment Manager

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of public listed equities, including financial modelling, valuation, and risk assessment.
• Develop and implement investment strategies to optimize portfolio performance and achieve targeted returns.
• Evaluate and participate in M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation analysis, deal structuring, and post-merger integration.
• Generate investment ideas based on fundamental research, market trends, and macroeconomic analysis.
• Monitor and manage existing investments, making timely adjustments based on market conditions and investment objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with company management, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gain valuable insights and opportunities.
• Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to inform investment decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including research analysts, traders, and compliance officers, to execute investment strategies effectively.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations, performance reports, and market updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
• MBA or CFA designation preferred.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sell-side equity research and buy-side analysis/portfolio management, with a focus on public listed equities, direct investments, and M&A transactions.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modelling, valuation techniques, and risk assessment.
• Deep understanding of capital markets, investment principles, and asset allocation strategies.
• Knowledge of M&A processes, including due diligence, deal structuring, and integration.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
• Regulatory knowledge and compliance experience related to investment management activities.

Experience requirements

• Minimum +8 years of experience of investment/analytical experience preferably with a mix of sell-side and buy-side equity research and advisory.
