Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Process Engineer with expertise in NGL Fractionation to join our department. This department is responsible for fractionating and treating Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) to provide Ethane Propane and Butane products to our local Petrochemical industry. Additionally Juaymah has the capability to export Refrigerated Propane and Butane through export facilities.

As a Process Engineer in this department your main role will involve providing vital support to plant operations. This includes analyzing and troubleshooting process parameters to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will also be responsible for conducting management of change activities and driving process improvement studies. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity and optimizing the performance of our NGL Fractionation facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform indepth plant monitoring and optimize the performance of assigned units by overseeing unit operation and identifying economic losses.
• Issue detailed reports with recommendations supported by simulation models to optimize unit operation.
• Lead unit operations troubleshooting and investigate offspec products and plant trips/upsets managing required deliverables.
• Support Operations during turnarounds and unplanned shutdowns/startups by understanding unit operating conditions and recommending operational improvements.
• Perform specific tasks including catalyst/desiccant forecast/evaluation test runs debottlenecking studies duediligence assessments enhancement studies and HAZOP studies.
• Assume the Lead Role in process safety management overseeing HAZOP PSR SIL PSSR RA and Alarm Rationalization. Lead HAZOP/Process Safety Reviews of plant operations and new modifications. Stay informed about technology developments in Isomerization process plants and evaluate and approve technology developments for Central Engineering while facilitating field deployment.
• Propose and manage major projects to improve safety reliability and profitability. Prepare design requests budget justifications and detailed implementation plans for economically justifiable projects. Develop detailed engineering design packages for inhouse processoriented projects and follow up on implementation.
• Conduct process simulation using Aspen software package.
• Liaise with vendors and technology licensors for process enhancements and changes.

Requirements:

• This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
• Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
• 15 years of total NGL/LPG process units experience including process engineering and operations with at least 10 years experience in handling gas processing and NGL Fractionation.
• Exposure to different licensor technologies for gas processing and NGL Fractionation is a plus.
• Certified PHA/HAZOP leader.
• Familiarity with Honeywell UOP and Shell licensed units is preferred.
